    e-Trishul Privacy Policy

How the e-Trishul (Digital Rakshak) app collects, uses and protects your data. Effective Date: 13 January 2026.

    01Introduction

Welcome to e-Trishul (Digital Rakshak) (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

e-Trishul is a cybersecurity and mobile protection application designed to safeguard Android users from:

    • Malware & spyware
    • Adware & fake applications
    • Malicious APK files
    • QR phishing links
    • Insecure Wi-Fi networks
    • SIM swap & call-forwarding fraud

We follow a Local-First Privacy Architecture, meaning most security analysis happens directly on your device without transmitting personal data externally.

    02Information We Collect

We collect limited data strictly required to provide cybersecurity services.

2.1 Personal Information (Provided by User)

    May include:

    • Name
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number

    Collected when you:

    • Register inside the App
    • Submit support requests
    • Report cybersecurity incidents

    2.2 SIM & Phone Information

    We may access:

    • Active SIM status
    • Linked phone numbers (via Android native APIs)

    Purpose:

    • SIM binding protection
    • Detect unauthorized SIM swaps
    • Call-forwarding fraud detection

We do NOT store IMEI or track calls.

    2.3 Device Information

    Collected automatically:

    • Device model
    • Android OS version
    • Security patch level
    • App installer source

Purpose: Threat analysis & device compatibility security checks.

    2.4 Installed Applications Data

Using Android permissions, we may scan:

    • Installed app list
    • Package names
    • SHA-256 signatures
    • Certificates (debug/expired)
    • Installer source

    Purpose:

    • Detect malware
    • Identify fake/cloned apps
    • Detect sideloaded threats

    All scanning is processed locally.

    2.5 Storage & File Scanning

    The App may scan:

    • Internal storage
    • External storage
    • Download folders

    File types analyzed include:

.apk, .exe, .bat, spyware payload indicators, exploit PDFs

    Important Clarification:

    • We do NOT read personal photos/videos for viewing.
    • Files are scanned using digital signatures only.

    2.6 Wi-Fi & Network Information

    We may access:

    • Wi-Fi SSID
    • Encryption type
    • Network security level

    Purpose:

    • Detect insecure networks
    • Identify MITM risks

Android requires Location permission to access Wi-Fi SSID. We do NOT track GPS location.

    2.7 Camera Access

    Used only for:

    • QR code scanning
    • Malicious link detection

No photos/videos are stored or transmitted.

    03Local Data Storage

We use a local authentication system stored on your device.

    Stored locally:

    • User profile
    • Session tokens
    • Scan reports
    • Cached alerts

We do NOT maintain centralized cloud user databases.

    04Data Transmission & Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or rent user data. However, limited transmission occurs in the following cases:

    4.1 Telegram Bot Infrastructure

We use Telegram Bot API as a secure reporting and support infrastructure instead of traditional servers.

We use Telegram Bot messaging infrastructure to securely receive malware threat reports, support tickets, and device registration details. Malicious files detected on your device may be uploaded to our private, encrypted Telegram channels for cybersecurity analysis.

    Data Shared May Include:

    Registration Data

    • Name, Phone, Email
    • Device model, Android version
    • SIM status

    Support Requests

    • Contact details
    • Issue description
    • Attachments (if user submits)

    Threat Reports

    • Suspicious files/APKs
    • Malware scan reports
    • Related device details

    Transmission occurs only when:

    • User registers
    • User requests support
    • User submits/reports threats
    • Severe malware auto-report triggers (security purpose)

    All transmissions are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

    4.2 Google Play Verification Queries

We may query Play Store URLs to verify app authenticity using package names only.

No personal user data is shared with Google.

    05Sensitive Permissions Justification

We request certain high-risk permissions strictly for cybersecurity functionality.

    MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Required for deep malware scans across all directories.

    QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES

Required to scan installed apps for threats.

    READ_PHONE_STATE / READ_PHONE_NUMBERS

Required for SIM fraud detection & anti-theft security.

    ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Required by Android to analyze Wi-Fi security.

    CAMERA

    Required for QR phishing detection.

Without these permissions, core protection features will not function.

    06Background Security Monitoring

The App runs a foreground monitoring service to:

    • Scan newly installed apps
    • Detect malicious installs
    • Provide real-time alerts

    System events monitored:

    • App install
    • App uninstall

Users are notified via persistent security notifications.

    07Data Security

    We implement:

    • HTTPS/TLS encryption
    • Local data storage
    • Minimal data collection
    • No ad trackers
    • No data selling

    08User Rights & Controls

    You may:

    • Revoke permissions anytime
    • Skip registration
    • Uninstall the App

Uninstalling deletes all local data and monitoring services.

    09Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

    10Policy Updates

We may update this policy due to:

    • Android policy changes
    • Security feature upgrades
    • Legal compliance updates

    Users will be notified in-app.
